What is your favorite fantasy novel or series other than harry potter and twilight?
and why?
i dont want anything too childish. i know harry potter and twilight were aimed at children originally so i suppose i dont mind if they are for children but id actually prefer if they were more adult. ive read other fantasy novels i just didnt want anyone to say HP or twilight.
Fantasy is very broad plus it's my favorite genre.
Wicked Lovely: one of the only romance fantasy hybrids about forbidden love that I really like. It has enough action and mythology to keep me interested.
Redwall: One of my old favorites, an animal fantasy, this one I discovered in 6th grade. It can be a bit descriptive but the story is great and for being a kid's book it doesn't treat issues with kid's gloves.
Goddess of Yesterday: my favorite mythology fantasy, it is a unique telling of the story of Helen of Troy.
Dark is Rising: my favorite fantasy based on legend. It takes elements of both Welsh and Arthurian legend.
Full Tilt: horror fantasies have to stick with you long after you read them. enough said.
*Poison Study: my favorite high fantasy, this one is a fun read that brings together what a lot of the elements I love about this sub-genre of fantasy.
*Moon Called: this urban fantasy has a smart mouth main character and a quirky cast of characters.
Shade's Children: the plot of this sci-fi fantasy hybrid is one that's stuck in my head even though it's been nearly 8 years since I read it. I think that explains a bit
*Going Postal: sheer craziness is the best way to discribe this humor fantasy. It had me laughing out loud.
*Once Bitten, Twice Shy: I pull this one out of the urban fantasy only because it is a hybrid of so many genres, it's worth mentioning.
*Dracula: my favorite classic and vampire fantasy. Oddly what I love is the unreliable narrator and the complicated dynamics of the tale.
Midnight Magic by Avi: my favorite historical fantasy, another of the books I read in 6th grade. I like this one because of the rich details and the info on tarot.
Eragon: I pull quest fantasy out of the high fantasy genre because it really is an entity of its own. Eragon is rich with legends and cultures. It's the type of book that I loose myself in.
Midnight for Charlie Bone: this contemporary adventure fantasy has long been struggling under the shaddow of Harry Potter, but it really is good. An interesting plot and cast of characters keep things moving. It also draws from Welsh legend something that I like about Nimmo's writing.

okay that list of favorites was drawing was drawing all over the place, plus asking me what my favorites are is different than asking me what I would recommend. I'll put stars next to the adult books above and also look into these two.

The 37-year-old mother of three had admitted to a four-month affair with the boy who was in her class at a junior school in Idaho.
There is something bizarrely funny about this case though. Her husband was a prison guard and after he found out about Ashley Jo's behavior he took a series of lewd videos of female prisoners in his control. He's to be tried for this soon.
